The purpose of this bill is to create a one-time American Legion Post Support Grant Program administered by the Department of Veterans Assistance. The bill authorizes the department to distribute $10 million in equal amounts to all active American Legion posts in West Virginia without requiring individual applications. The program supports capital needs, operational improvements. and veteran service activities conducted by American Legion posts. The bill further provides for reporting requirements and establishes a sunset provision upon completion of the distribution.
